অ্যাবাকাস একটি বুদ্ধি বিকাশক পদ্ধতি, আমাদের ব্রেনের দুটো পার্ট লেফট এবং রাইট। আমরা সবাই রাইট হ্যান্ড অর্থাৎ ডান হাতে বেশি কাজ করি তাই ব্রেনের লেফট পার্ট অর্থাৎ বাম দিক বেশি কাজ করে। আমরা লেফট হ্যান্ড অর্থাৎ বাম হাতে কম কাজ করি বলে ব্রেনের রাইট পার্ট অর্থাৎ ডান দিক কম কাজ করে এবং এই ব্রেনের রাইট পার্টে আছে ইমাজিনেশন, কন্সেন্ট্রেশন, ভিজুয়ালাইজেশন, লজিক, এরিথমেটিক এবং আরো অনেক কিছু, তাই আমাদের ব্রেনের রাইট পার্ট টিকে একটিভ রাখার জন্য লেফট হ্যান্ড কে বেশি মুভমেন্ট করাতে হয়। এই লেফট হ্যান্ড এবং রাইট হ্যান্ড এই দুই হাতকে বেশি মুভমেন্ট করানোর জন্য তৈরি হয়েছে অ্যাবাকাস টুল। আর এই অ্যাবাকাস টুলটি এপ্লাই করা হয় অ্যাবাকাস কোর্সে।
